Why Prevail Tactical Exists
For 16 plus years of law enforcement experience, I’ve watched a simple truth play out: our duty gear hasn’t kept up with the job.
Every day, officers and corrections professionals rely on equipment that was designed decades ago, tools that were never meant to handle today’s realities. From the way we deploy OC spray to how we restrain and monitor people in custody, too much of our gear is stuck in the past. It’s functional to a point, sure, but it’s not forward thinking.
That’s why I started Prevail Tactical.
Not to reinvent the wheel, but to make it smarter, safer, and built for the modern officer.
Our goal is simple: develop tools that protect lives, reduce liability, and make good officers even better equipped to do their jobs.
Our first-to-market product, the OC Kit-A™, is a complete rethink of one of the most basic tools on our belt. Traditional OC holsters are known for poor retention, awkward draws, and blowback that ends up coating your own hands. The OC Kit-A™ fixes all of that with a full-retention holster, modular mounting options, and a spray guard that finally brings control and confidence to deployment.
In development is the Vitals Monitoring and Restraint System or VMARS. It’s the first handcuff-integrated platform that monitors a subject’s vital signs in real time, alerting officers before a medical emergency becomes a tragedy. It’s not about replacing judgment, it’s about giving officers better information when seconds matter most.
Both products come from the same belief: gear should evolve with the mission.
Technology, materials, and data are advancing fast. There’s no reason the basic tools protecting lives shouldn’t be doing the same.
Prevail Tactical was built for that purpose. To challenge what’s “good enough.” To build what’s actually needed. And to make sure that when the moment comes, you, and the people in your custody, both walk away safely.
Our motto, “Designed to Disrupt” is the amalgamation of evolving duty gear, and breaking that "good enough" loop.
